08:45am:
Well... how do I even start this?
The last few days Katie has been writing the blog whilst I've been working in the evenings, and it's honestly been so lovely (and emotional!) to read back at what she's written about our journey so far. I think both of us have found ourselves reading back at the blogs during the evening to (re-)take it all in.
To give you a mental image of where I am writing this, we're currently sat in our first aid station of the day, which is in a lay-by on top of a hill, overlooking the sea... and when I tell you that this feels quite emotional, having read our previous updates throughout the week, I feel like you can understand why.
Today, we officially finished in Cornwall, and it just feels like an incredible milestone that we've hit - I can't imagine how the boys must be feeling!
It's quite hard to believe that today, all in one day, we've:
Hit double digits: it's officially day 10
We've finished walking Cornwall and have reached Devon
We've finished in our Cornish accommodation
We're finally at the stage of the walk where every single day you lovely lot will be joining us to walk us home
Can we just take a moment to take all of that in?!
Jon and Jac... if you're reading this.... look at what you've achieved?!?!
This whole process has been so fulfilling for all of us and I genuinely feel that even throughout the pain, tiredness, aching and utter delirium most days, that the sense of purpose and fulfilment has truly been overwhelming. The profound feeling that we're doing all of this to worship Jesus just feels so wholesome. That's why I feel like Jon's update from last night really does say it all perfectly... and I want to re-add that onto the bottom of this blog today as a reminder of what we're doing this for!

Ok, so that's the emotional update out of the way... now back to today.
We started the day in Seaton, ready to start the last leg of the coastal path in Cornwall before heading over the river into Plymouth tomorrow. The weather had taken a slight turn overnight, so with it being overcast, windy and rainy, it was certainly a welcomed change for the boys to walk in... the support crew not so much.
Nevertheless, the boys headed off for aid station 1 which brought the first lowlight of the day.... the route - fields of long, wet grass, infested with ticks!
After a quick tick removal from legs at the aid station, the boys were keen to push on for the day. They were joined by Bev and her partner Rich for the last time, giving them another boost to push through the bad weather.
It wasn't long before the boys arrived at their end point; Cawsand (2 hours ahead of schedule and met by a once-again sleeping support crew). You'd think that they'd have walked enough by this point, but not Jon! After rounding up his mileage for the day by doing a few laps of the car park, we all set off to our lodgings to settle in for the evening, but not before Jon & Ailie herded a group of lambs back into their field from the road!
It was here that the absolute best highlight of the day occurred... a massive surprise for Jon - Lydia, Rae and Seth! After enjoying a great fish and chips together, it was the best way to end not only the day, but the Cornish leg of the walk!
Another 14 miles, 712m of ascent and 35,130 steps in the bag.

I am in total awe. Xxx
